Study of Iron-Based Catalysts Performance in Fischer – Tropsch Synthesis: Temperature and Promoter Effect

The full text of the article will be published in English version journal "Catalysis Industry" No. 1, 2023. iron-based catalysts were prepared via wet-impregnation method. composition final iron catalysts, regarding to weight ratio is as follow 14%Fe/γ-Al 2 O 3 , 14%Fe/3%Cu/γ-Al 14%Fe/3%Sn/γ-Al and 14%Fe/3%Cu/1%Sn/γ-Al . characterized using XRD, ICP, BET, H2-TPR, FE-SEM EDX techniques. catalytic activity was evaluated a fixed bed reactor under 20 bar pressure, H /CO = GHSV L/(g cat ·h), temperature range 270–300 °C. Then, effect promoters (Cu Sn) on catalyst performance investigated. CO conversion product selectivity also calculated results GC. showed that Cu Sn increased reduction rate Fe by providing dissociation sites. Higher temperatures shown change selectivity. both methane C –C 4 hydrocarbons decreased while 5+ because simultaneous use for promoting catalyst. promoter FT WGS activities.
